Romo Fabrics
Founded by Robert Mould in 1902, Romo remains a family affair of fabric design. Now managed by his great-grandson, they may still be based in Nottinghamshire but they also have showrooms from Paris to Chicago. At their on-site warehouse you’ll find an epic 2.4 million metres of quality fabrics and wall-coverings – enough to stretch from London to Athens! So you’ll understand why it took us some time to shortlist their fabrics that we wanted to include in the Perch & Parrow collection. After much deliberation we chose these four collections:
Dusky Cotton
Soft, brushed luxe Italian cotton with a vintage-y weathered finish, what we loved most about this fabric was the stylish spectrum of sixteen colours that it comes in. Right now we can’t resist the rich blue of Lighthouse Keeper.
Perfect Polka
An ever-so-slightly retro pattern, Perfect Polka was created by Romo’s London design team aka Kirkby Design. Printed on the Dusky Cotton described above, it’s a sure-fire winner for accent chairs or statement headboards. Go for Green Pop if you want to be on-trend for spring ’17.
Geo Shimmer
Without doubt the crown jewels of our fabric collection and a showcase for Romo’s talents. This textural treat, contrasts raised cut viscose velvet with a textured metallic background. The graphic pattern has a dramatic 3-d effect and it feels fabulous. The Blaise is the closest that we get to upholstering bling.
Pure Wool
Romo’s eco hero is a wool felt made exclusively of yarns reclaimed from the fashion
industry in the Prato district of Italy. Beautifully soft, tactile and robust, it has that pleasingly tweedy effect that wouldn’t look out of place on a smart suit. Embrace the pink revival with Piglet’s Nose.
