Stripes

We love a stripe. From the subtle to the striking, a stripe will bring both depth and character to your space. As a pattern they work in the most classic or contemporary homes – they’re so versatile you really can’t go wrong. Here’s a few of our top tips to inspire your striped scheme.

Be confident

Choose your fabric colour based on how playful or traditional you want your scheme to be. You could go coastal or maybe you’re more country house, so go large with stripes and invest in our Peter 3 Seater Sofa in South Sands or our Paul 2 Seater Sofa in Salcombe.

Be strategic

Think about what you want from your stripes. Going for a bold monochrome palette will add fun and energy to a space. If that’s too dynamic for you, how about decorating with a gentle flow of pastel shades to create a relaxing effect.

Be creative

You can use stripes wherever you want – even across the ceiling, if you’ve got a very good painter. Dip your toe into this trend by introducing a striped accent or two into your home. Our Breton rug will bring a bit of Gallic chic to your floorboards. Or refresh your favourite armchair with a couple of Chukka cushions in different colours. Once you start with stripes you’ll find you can’t stop…
